These are beautiful mirrors. And such an important message. When I made the decision to find my personal style I realized I also didn't have a full-length. I really had to question why. Now I have a totally different why. WHY I love looking at myself, putting together looks that make me feel good and communicate exactly what I want to communicate!
Yes! I really love this. Some of us have mirrors, but only look at them when something feels off. Recognizing what feels right or wrong, and understanding which colors and silhouettes work for us, is important for daily assessment, similar to checking your hair, makeup, or teeth after a meal. We would never walk out without taking a second glance...
My husband bought the IKEA Hovet mirror for shadowboxing (lol) and I use it for mirror selfies. It's huge, affordable and cool! Love the idea behind this post.
Beautiful, Keturah. I have always shied away from mirrors because until fairly recently I’ve not really liked seeing my body in a mirror. (Those of us in my age group who are “larger” and grew up in families with “smaller” women all around us often avoid mirrors.) But I bought a mirror last year and I’m forcing myself to look at my body in my clothes in the mirror. And it’s fine. I’ve gotten used to it. And, it helps me to understand what works well and what doesn’t work as well on my body. I’m definitely more confident when I’m feeling good in my clothes. I definitely recommend a mirror for all.
I grew up in a home with so many mirrors - big ones, small ones, and every size in between. My mother wanted to refract light and make rooms look bigger; people visiting constantly commented on how many there were. Without realizing it, I’ve collected quite a few (in a small house) - I have 3 full length mirrors! Your choices are lovely so good thing I’m out of wall space to put another.
Interesting! I’m 51 and have never owned a full-length mirror. I kind of stand on toes to see as much as I can in my bathroom. Some of the mirrors you shared are gorgeous, almost art. Now I’m inspired…
